1. Be aware of your surroundings
- Check the map constantly: the map tells you where all the delicious dots are so, keep an eye on the map!
- Follow the trails: following orb trails is a good tactic to keep in mind. For starters, orb trails usually provide you with a steady stream of orb and can feed you for a while.
2. Stalk the big snakes
Big snakes are bounty chests for a number of reasons
- Big snakes usually attract a lot of attention, which means there will be a lot of “bodies” nearby and you just need to wait before gobble in.
- Big snakes are big but they are not superman! It’s only a matter of time before a big snake crash and that’s your clue to enjoy that sweet sweet aftermath!
- Following orb trails is one way you can track down big snakes and keep you at their tails where it’s safe. Snakes get taken down at their heads and there will be a lot of competition up there!
3. The circle strategy
Circling is a decent strategy to protect your loot, or to squeeze people, oh I mean, snakes, out of their orbs. So, what to circle and how to circle?
- Protect your bounty: you may have just taken down a snake all by yourself or happen to stumble across a goldmine of orbs, then you shouldn’t jump right in and grab it all. Doing that makes you and your loot vulnerable to other players. Instead, circle around to create a barrier to protect your loot and enjoy it yourself.
- Squeeze your enemy out: see a smaller snake? Try to surround them using the same technique and wait until they make a mistake because they are not getting any orb in there!
4. Dash to smash
Smash is quite a powerful weapon but not everyone makes the most out of it. Here are some ways you can effectively dash.
- Set up your opponent: you can use dash to surround your opponents and squeeze them into crashing or you can also pretend you are crashing and then dash to cut their heads off!
- Secure the loot: Orbs can also have movement and they will try to get away from you. Sometimes it’s worth a dash to circle and secure your loot.
5. Know your enemies
No matter the size, every snake has their own advantages and disadvantages. It’s best to know where you are at and where your enemies are at.
- Big snakes: as a big snake, you may have a wider view of the landscape and you can see things that smaller snakes cannot. If you are experienced enough, you can use this to your strength and punish smaller snakes for their lack of vision, set up a crash, cut their heads off, it’s up to you.
- Small snakes: big snakes are out there for blood and will try to bully smaller snakes. Use this to bait them! The goal here is to get the bigger worm’s attention. Once you do and you can tell they’re coming your way — even better if they’re boosting your way thinking they’ve got the jump on you — you suddenly boost and cut them off.
